Workshops at Kindred

This is a beginner's workshop where gardeners bring in a sample of their own garden soil and we work together to discover its qualities and needs for the new growing season. We will demystify the basics of at home and mail in soil tests. You will leave with a prepared Soil Savvy test kit ready to drop in the mail. Feel empowered making amendment choices for your garden - whether that is buying soil, fertilizer, or compost - by knowing what qualities your soil already has.

Let's overcome the overwhelm of seed and plant choices and plan a garden that will get you the meals you want when you want them. I will share tips and tricks I have learned from years of gardening with fresh eating, preserving, and creating pantry staples in mind. Coming in right around our region's last frost date, there is still plenty of time to get started with or re-inspire your home garden!
